About Me

Originally hailing from England, I worked as a senior human resources leader for over 20 years for global businesses, charities and public sector organisations.

I realised that what I do best isn’t the business-as-usual, day-to-day HR that kept businesses ‘ticking over’.

What I was most effective at doing was coaching founders and business leaders on how to better build high performing teams while also delivering impactful programmes of work that helped leaders turn their strategic aims into reality, with and through their people.

I first developed a love for psychology in my undergraduate degree and since then I have secured a masters in Human Resources Management and become trained and certified in many disciplines including workplace conflict resolution, psychometric profiling, psychometric ability testing and coaching.

Unlike many coaches, I’ve actually been a senior business leader and managed high performing teams myself.

What makes me different as an HR consultant and leadership coach is that my practice is deeply rooted in modern social science and I draw on a range of other esteemed disciplines believing that - if you look hard enough - there’s a leadership lesson to be learned from anywhere!

I have carefully curated a completely sector-agnostic portfolio of experience, working across industries such as arts, culture, media, heritage, place-making, real estate and hospitality, manufacturing, education and tech so when you work with me you’re getting a wide range of actionable insights and advice.

I have supported and developed leaders across the world with an employer and multi-national client base focused in the UK with experience in the United States of America, the United Arab Emirates, Asia, Australia, Western Europe and now, New Zealand too.

Preferring to work with SMEs, start-ups and scale-ups, I’ve been pleased to work with major players within their industries - many of them award winners.

I love to share my thinking on the world of work and experience with audiences all over the world at conferences and other speaking events, sometimes with hundreds of attendees. I also blog regularly on Linkedin and have been a guest writer for many third parties.

I arrived in Auckland in October 2024 and I can’t wait to help businesses across New Zealand and partner leaders in this beautiful country.
